NFPA announce new Manager of International Business Development for Latin America

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has announced that Fernando Escalante will be the new Manager of International Business Development for Latin America.

Escalante is based in Costa Rica and will work closely with government agencies, industry associations, and private sector partners to enhance safety standards and training initiatives across Latin America.

In this role, Escalante will oversee NFPA efforts to expand its presence and partnerships throughout the region, strengthening engagement with key stakeholders in the fire, electrical and life safety sectors.

Escalante’s experience

Escalante, an electrical engineer, brings his experience in business development, sales and customer experience across Latin America to the role.

Before joining NFPA, he held several leadership positions for nearly two decades with Schneider Electric, managing regional projects and driving business growth through strategic partnerships.

He also served as an instructor for NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC), demonstrating an understanding of NFPA standards and their implementation across industries.
