Role Overview
The Head of Business Development will spearhead all partnership and growth initiatives at EVEN, driving strategic collaborations that expand our network, amplify our reach, and strengthen our position in the music and entertainment ecosystem. This role is central to shaping and executing our growth strategy, cultivating high-value relationships, and ensuring that EVEN continues to deliver on its mission to empower artists, partners, and fans.
Core Responsibilities
Partnership Development & Management
- Identify, source, and negotiate strategic partnerships with labels, distributors, aggregators, brands, platforms, management companies, digital marketing agencies, and artists.
- Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are represented within EVEN.
- Own the partnerships flow end to end, from the pitch process all the way through to onboarding and account management.
Sales & Growth Execution
- Design and implement a structured sales process, including outreach strategies, CRM management, and documentation standards.
- Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and tailored materials to clearly communicate EVEN’s value proposition.
- Meet and exceed partnership acquisition and revenue growth targets.
Partner Success & Retention
- Oversee seamless onboarding and integration of new partners into EVEN’s systems and processes.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to ensure partner satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
- Generate weekly partnership reports with progress updates, performance metrics, challenges, and actionable insights.
Strategic Insights & Market Analysis
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging opportunities within music, technology, and entertainment.
- Use market insights to inform business strategy, refine partner offerings, and identify new revenue streams.
- Represent EVEN at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand visibility and advocacy.
Technical & Industry Expertise
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of DDEX standards and EVEN’s digital distribution processes.
- Educate partners and internal teams on technical requirements and best practices.
- Continuously build expertise in evolving music/tech industry standards to strengthen EVEN’s positioning.
Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, ideally in music, entertainment, or digital media.
- Proven track record of securing and managing high-value partnerships and driving measurable growth.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience developing and executing structured sales processes, including CRM tools and reporting frameworks.
- Familiarity with digital distribution standards and systems (DDEX knowledge strongly preferred).
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills; able to influence and collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable opportunities.
