Concord Hospitality expands its business development team
Concord Hospitality names Mark Fraioli as senior vice president of business development and makes two key internal promotions. Together, the appointments double the size of Concord’s business development team as the company expands its West Coast presence.
Fraioli will support Concord’s targeted growth strategy, focusing on development and third-party management opportunities in the western United States. His role includes strengthening relationships with owners and investment partners and advancing the company’s long-term expansion by reinforcing its position as a leading integrated hotel management and development firm.

Fraioli brings more than 20 years of experience in hospitality and real estate, with a background in hotel acquisitions, investment sales and strategic advisory services. He previously held senior roles at Peregrine Hospitality Group, JLL and Marriott International.
As managing director of acquisitions and a founding member of Peregrine Hospitality Group, Fraioli helped build a $1.25+ billion hotel portfolio in 2.5 years, sourcing 80 percent of the transactions off-market. At JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group, he led Northern California investment sales, brokering $2.3 billion in transactions across 52 deals. He also held development and finance leadership roles at Marriott International.
In addition, Helene Okabe has been promoted to senior vice president of business development. Okabe, who has been with Concord Hospitality for more than a decade, has played a key role in several strategic initiatives. In her expanded role, she will focus on identifying new management opportunities and growing the company’s presence in the full-service hospitality segment.

Matthew McCarthy has been promoted to senior director of feasibility. In this role, McCarthy will evaluate new development opportunities, analyze markets for growth potential and profitability, and develop financial models for acquisitions and developments. McCarthy was named one of Hotel Management’s Thirty under 30 in 2024.
“At Concord Hospitality, people are our most important asset, and as we continue to grow, our people-first culture will be the foundation of our success,” President and CEO Mark Laport said in a statement. “With the addition of Mark and Helene’s promotion, we have doubled the size of our new business development team, significantly expanding our capabilities as we pursue our next phase of growth.”
Concord Hospitality currently manages more than 150 hotels across North America, with over a dozen projects in the development pipeline. While the company has long maintained a strong foundation in select-service hotel management, it has expanded organically into full-service, upscale and luxury hospitality.
In 2021, Concord launched Opus Collection, a curated portfolio of independent-minded full-service hotels, restaurants and bars across the United States and Canada. The company continues to expand its food-and-beverage platform, with award-winning restaurants and bars open or under development in markets across North America.
