Nomad Foods revenue, earnings decrease in Q3 2025 amid headwinds

Nomad Foods, the largest frozen foods company in Europe, posted lower revenue and earnings as market headwinds continue to impact the business.

Nomad Foods posted a revenue of EUR 752 million (USD 869 million) in Q3 2025, a 2.2 percent decrease from the EUR 769 million (USD 889 million) it posted in Q3 2024. Gross Profit also dropped to EUR 207 million (USD 239 million), down from EUR 248 million (USD 286 million).

The company’s adjusted EBITDA dropped 14.2 percent to EUR 142 million (USD 164 million), continuing declines from Q2 2025.

“Third quarter results were in line with our expectations. We faced several headwinds this quarter, including weather-related category pressure in July and soft performance in the U.K. that more than offset strong performance in our growth platforms,” Nomad Foods CEO Stéfan Descheemaeker said in a release. “Importantly, we are making progress towards driving improvement.”

Descheemaeker said the company was not reaching its full potential in Q3 2025, and that the quarter had a soft start, but that the weakness the company saw during the summer has “proven transitory.”

Nomad Foods revised its financial targets earlier this year after a worse-than-expected start to 2025, with decreased revenue and adjusted EBITDA in H1 2025. Descheemaeker said the record-setting warmth in Western Europe disrupted consumer behavior and lead to volume declines in some of its frozen food categories.

Despite the challenged financial results, Nomad Foods Co-Chair and Founder Noam Gottesman said the “underlying fundamentals” of the company remain strong as it works to innovate new products.

“The company has accelerated innovation and renovation with proven and repeatable successes in our growth platforms, improved brand-building with the creation and launch of its new advertising campaign and built a robust multi-year efficiency program to provide further financial flexibility,” Gottesman said. “Furthermore, the company has fantastic brands in a resilient category and has already made substantial investments to lay the groundwork for improved performance next year.”

The company said its growth platforms saw significant sales increases, with a 34 percent sales increase in Q3 2025 and a 39 percent increase so far in 2025.

Descheemaeker said the company has communicated price increases to its customers in 2026, and an increased efficiency program the company announced in September has progressed on schedule.

As of 1 January 2026 Nomad Foods will be under the leadership of Dominic Brisby, who was appointed to the role in October.

“We believe Dominic is positioned for success, and we are confident he has the appropriate foundation, resources and skillset to revitalize our growth engine and drive significant value creation,” Gottesman said. “I believe the equity market is meaningfully undervaluing Nomad Foods, and I am excited to see Dominic unlock that value and deliver improved results starting next year.”
